Update: Bethann's blog has moved to "School of Good Trouble"! 🚚

Screenshot of the landing page of this blog, which has been moved to Substack. The image displays a title, brief menu (home, archive, about), then the most recent post (A scicomm take on why debates feel like a dead-end), and then the top category of recent posts ("Hidden curriculum") along with a subscription form.
Here's a look at the top of the new landing page for this blog, over on Substack (Image: screenshot)

Thank you for being a subscriber when I hosted my blog here, directly on my website. But, there are some complications to hosting it there that led me to look for a new hosting platform.

While there are very real cons to Substack, for the moment, it’s the option that was most workable for me.

I’ve also taken this opportunity to officially rename the blog: it’s now School of Good Trouble, which encompasses the systems change, work-together, and “don’t work too much” themes I’ve been focused on for a while now. You can learn more about my rationale for calling it School of Good Trouble here.

What does this mean for you?

  • The content is going to be more of what you already subscribed to. No change there.

  • You won’t need to do anything; I’ve already added you as a subscriber on the new site. No change there.

  • You will receive updates on my future posts just like you used to, right in your inbox. You’ll just see slightly different styling/branding.

  • Just as you used to on my website’s blog, you can visit School of Good Trouble on its dedicated Substack website to read the full archives and other posts as they are published.

Some housekeeping…

  • If you can’t find emails updating you on new posts (or don’t see them coming through), check your spam folder. And please mark this address as ‘not spam.’ If the email updates aren’t in your spam folder, either, you should look in the Promotions tab.

Thanks again for your support, and please tell a few friends/colleagues about School of Good Trouble, if you think they’d find it useful.

See you at school! 😉🎓

P.S. If you missed it, the most recent post on School of Good Trouble was I love strategic planning but think resolutions are a dead-end. Here are the top 5 tools I use instead.

And, this coming week's post will be a scicomm take on why debates are a dead-end!
